For those adults interested in growing in their understanding and appreciation of the Catholic Faith, a wide scope of classes are offered throughout the year at the Parish in conjunction with the
Diocesan Institute for Liturgy and Spirituality and the Diocesan Office of Catechetics. Parishioners may also join one of many Parish-based Adult Faith Sharing Groups that typically meet weekly in the Fall and Spring of each year. You may sign-up through the website or by calling the Parish office, 725-2700.
Each year you are invited to join with other Cathedral Parishioners for our annual reflective weekend Retreat at the Diocesan Retreat Center at Dancyville. Watch the website and weekly Bulletin for sign-up information.
Religious Education Sessions for school age children are offered on Sunday mornings each year beginning in September. Registration procedure is announced in the weekly Parish Bulletin. Blest Are We is the curriculum used in the PRE program. You may visit their website to explore.
First Eucharist and Penance are received during the spring when the child is in the second grade. Confirmation is administered to those in the eighth grade or older. Diocesan requirements state that a child must be enrolled in religious education classes for at least one year prior to sacrament preparation. Attendance by parents at parental sacrament classes is also required.
